A low-rocker, swift & sure ocean-going kayak in the truest big expedition tradition, the Force serried are designed for the paddler who is willing to work a little harder for manoeuvrability, in order to maximise hard tracking & high boat speed. That said, compared to the kayaks which predominate in the Australian market, an intermediate paddler will find the Force boats incredibly easy to lean-turn.
Although still featuring the trademark Impex shallow V-shaped hull for maximum primary stability, we’ve combined a narrower beam & more aggressive medium chine to allow for increased turning ability in what is a, long, sleek kayak.
This unique chine design offers more bite when the boat is up on its edge, but unlike a true hard chine, it won’t get easily tripped up as wind & wave conditions increase.
The Force 5 & 4 paddle well with a full load, & allows ample storage space in 3 airtight bulkheads for longer trips. The Force 3 is for lighter paddlers, & is probably the best boat ever made for women who are seeking to be come true ‘kayakers’, rather than just hoping to keep up with hubby in a poorly sized large standard kayak.
Featured in all of our boats, the composite seams & bulkheads keep your kit dry, & your kayak protected from the torque & stress of high-demand paddling. We guarantee you won’t find a better-built boat in the market.
Other features include a longer cockpit opening to allow for easy entry & exit when challenged by advanced rescues or quick exits after a surf landing, a deep paddle channel behind the lowered rear cockpit rim for a stable paddle platform while performing rescues.
The Force series come complete with premium quality VCP rubber hatches, a retractable skeg & high-visibility colour options. http://www.impexkayak.com
